The bangle is surprisingly light weight and has a great salmon color to it. The turquoise inlay makes for a hot color combination. This bangle is #1 as part of a limited edition of 9 bracelets that came from an incredible block of this great Aussie burl.
This bangle is very nice. It is not as wide as some of the other bangles that I inlay with turquoise. But, the contrast between the tawney color of the burl and the blue of the turquoise make a subtle statement.
Amboyna Burl is one of the world's most beautiful burls. It is rare and expensive. This very chunky bangle has a magnificent rust-red patina and a cool little burst of the burl's creamy sapwood. A dash of turquoise has been inlayed into some tiny checks in the sapwood for a small splash of color.
